ERNIE VOSLOO

BASED IN JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA
ERNIE VOSLOO produces a wide range of distinctive factual programming for television, and have gained a reputation for delivering intelligent, imaginative, beautifully crafted films.
He studied Media at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg and then joined the South African Broadcasting Corporation - SABC.
Ernie has achieved numerous SAFTA awards, Avanti awards, Loeries and Golden Horns for both broad and narrowcast projects. and an EMMY Nomination for a youth talk show - CHOICE.

Ernie was executive producer & director for Ochre Moving Pictures. Working on the multi-award-winning 'Zola 7' a factual entertainment TV series for SABC 1.

Ernie was the Series Director for 'Got Talent – Nigeria' and 'X-Factor West Africa'. He directed a 4-part doccie series shot in Rio de Janeiro. In 2015 he directed 2 seasons of 'Isibaya' an award-winning daily drama broadcasting on DStv. Ernie then series directed ‘Greed & Desire’ a daily telenovela.

Ernie was the director on ‘Bolhuis S1’ a crime doccie drama for KykNet. He was the Series Director on 'The Single Wives' an international format reality series for Mnet. And earlier in 2021 he was the Content HOD and creative director on 'Love Island SA'. Currently he is directing the medical drama 'WOUNDS' with Paw Paw films and 'KwaMamazala' a comedy drama for SABC 2.
